My name is Julien and I am based in New York City.

I always have a film camera with me. I think it indirectly allows me to be present and appreciate the scenes around me.

Rolls were piling up and it felt like the right time to create some sort of archive.

I have a love-hate-love relationship with social media and wanted to find a low-stake, non-performative way to keep track of what I’ve been up to.

The grid is in chronological order. Sometimes I will find an older roll and add it. Sometimes I will re-scan a shot, or add a story. It’s messy and not serious.

This may be the most honest peek into my life. You’ll find a lot of the music, people and places that I love. I have no idea how you got here and hope you’ll enjoy it.

Unless noted, all photos are shot on film from a wide range of point and shoot cameras.

Most black and white photos taken after March 2020 were home developed from my beautiful kitchen in Brooklyn. I wonder what happened then.
